Here and Now

We are very exited to be working alongside Attenborough Arts Centre on an amazing project - Here and Now.

Here and Now is a national and local celebration of culture within communities. 40 brand new projects will take place in and around 40 arts centres across the country, led by artists and co-created with local people. The project is supported by Arts Council England and Future Arts Centres, marking The National Lottery’s 25th birthday.

We will be working alongside Attenborough Arts Centre and so far we have created some bespoke accessible choreography which we shared with the 25,000-strong crowd at the Leicester Tigers game which was performed at their home game on 29 February 2020, when Tigers launch their Inclusivity Celebration, along with sunflower lanyards and sensory backpacks. NDD, with around 40 performers performed alongside the pitch with sunflowers at half time to spread the message that small adjustments can make life more accessible for everyone. Attenborough Arts Centre are supporting the creation of this work in order to forge a link between the local rugby community and the accessible arts space on their doorstep.

The second part of the project, we will be creating a film, showing the daily routine of a rugby fan listening to the commentary of a game, following their journey as the action happens around them in the wider world.
