Well, we have had a magical, energetic, creative, thought-provoking, problem-solving and exhausting week working alongside eight fantastic young dancers. We spent five days at NonSuch Theatre in Nottingham, guiding the young people through a creative choreographic process. Collaborating with Matt Taylor, a local filmmaker, the group worked together to create a dance film. Monday - Thursday was spent generating material and meticulously story boarding! Friday was a manic day, filming in various locations across Nottingham. Thankfully, the weather gods were on our side!
We were so impressed by the way that the ground bonded and worked together. It was a pleasure to work with them and dance alongside them in the film. Watch this space - The Magic Jumper will be edited and ready to view within the next few weeks.
